Background

John Yawe left Uganda to pursue a MSc. in Agricultural Engineering a the University of Zambia in hopes of returning home to help smallholder farmers. Eighty percent of the food produced in Uganda comes from small farms, but much of it is lost to mold and other contamination.

By researching the most effective drying methods, Yawe worked to avoid some of that loss.
